Talk Calling

Talk Calling is a brilliant example of someone making simple the often complex issue of engaging with 14–18s about their calling. Developed by CPAS’ Leadership Specialist, Revd Emma Sykes, Talk Calling is a set of A6 cards that youth leaders can use to help their young people work out what God is calling them to by exploring 4 categories:

• pictures - to help young people explore what they might do next, how God speaks to them, how they feel about the next stage of their lives;
• blockages - outlining the things that get in the way of discovering / achieving what young people think God wants them to do with their lives;
• bible verses - excerpts from across the Hebrew Scriptures and New Testament illustrating something about calling
• about me - a series of cards with questions relating to what young people think about their skills, passions, memorable experiences etc
