Protecting all God's children

This document: 

• is a statement of the general principle of the Church on this subject; 
• sets out the responsibilities of the Church; from the central structures of the Church of England to the dioceses and parishes

It contains the House of Bishops' revised policy on child protection, together with a series of procedures for dioceses and parishes to follow in the circumstances below, where it is felt that the Church of England should have a common practice:

• responding to concerns about possible abuse
• ministering to known offenders
• safe recruitment of those working with children
