Exploring religion around me

Religion around me - what does this mean? Where do we look to find 'religion' in our local community? Do we just mean identifying and finding out about local places of worship? This is a good starting point, and an important part of any RE curriculum, but religion is more than this. Religion concerns people - it is about believing, worshipping, valuing; it is about belonging to a faith community and living with the wider community.
